This is a quick re-boot of an older shot that never quite tripped my trigger. This one’s an improvement but still not quite the elusive champ I’m after. For Cloud City action figures, ‘At the Gates of Bespin‘ (the one with the duo of Twin-Pod Cloud Cars) is still my runaway favorite.

This is an evolving process. And looking back it seems that some early photos from last year were shorted by a lack of experience or imagination on my part. Mea culpa! So of course when the opportunity arises I like to take another shot at the ones that are really crying out for revision.
This is undoubtedly one of those situations. Today Chewie and Lando (an epic pairing) finally get some respect after suffering so long in total darkness. Sorry guys, I’ve been really busy.

It’s a rare Star Wars action figure that gets a permanent set of grinning pearly whites. The original Lando Calrissian figure from 1980 was actually packaged both with and without the white teeth/white eyes. Both versions look kind of odd in their own right, but the one with the lady-killing smile is my pick.
And Lobot? Purveyor of the Bespin puffy shirt, Lobot? Geek paradise all the way.

Well what do we have we here? Looks like Lando Calrissian in shades of pink and lavender!
Say what you will about the color palate. When Kenner released the excellent General Lando Calrissian action figure in 1985, all crimes related to 1980’s not-altogether-awesome Lando action figure were instantly forgiven.
