Empire Strikes Back toys are always quick to creep up on my photo radar. They were the last toys that I really collected and played with as a kid back in the early ’80s.
What was the last bunch of toys you collected before rock ‘n roll and boys/girls took over?
Fun fact: There was never a “last” bunch of toys for me. I started collecting as a kid and never stopped.

Sadly, I was like 13. I sold all of my original Star Wars toys for pennies at a yard sale. I have been hearing about that mistake from my 21 year old son for about 16 years!
Pennies. Ouch, sounds painful. But hey on the bright side you probably bought a tasty Big Mac w/ the proceeds. 🙁 And don’t even get me started on the day in summer of ’82 when I cracked apart all my figures, glued them back together with bizarre torso/head/limb combinations, then threw them all in the trash.
I was infatuated with Taun Tauns! Loved em’! Still do.
I had two, but both were solid belly. I don’t remember any of my friends ever having the Open Belly ones, so getting one of those is on my list. I’m obviously curious about the few SW things I didn’t have. SW was my thing. That and James Bond. haha
